Music Timelines
Privacy Policy
Updated October 12, 2026
Music Timelines has no accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking. The only thing that reaches us is what you send with Send Feedback.
Where this applies
Music Timelines on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
What reaches the developer
Only when you use Send Feedback (Idea, Bug, or Other): the text you write and, with it, the app, version and build, platform and system version, device model, language, and the screen you opened it from. No name, email, account, or identifier. It is stored in a private inbox (Supabase) and used only to improve the app. Send Feedback is on iPhone, iPad, and Mac; Apple Watch and Apple TV send nothing to us.
What goes to Apple, not to us
Searches and playback through Apple Music (MusicKit), artwork from Apple’s servers, and sync of timelines, stacks, and favorites in your private iCloud (CloudKit and iCloud Key-Value). That is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
On the device
Album notes are generated on the device with Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models); nothing leaves the device. Apple Watch talks to the iPhone through WatchConnectivity. Anniversary reminders are scheduled on the device, with no push or servers. Preferences like language or the Apple TV backdrop are saved on each device.
Permissions the app asks for
- Apple Music, to search the catalog.
- Camera, for AR on iPhone and iPad.
- Add to Photos, to save AR photos and videos.
- Notifications, for anniversary reminders of your favorite albums (iPhone, iPad, and Mac).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect personal data from anyone.
Deleting data
The data lives in your iCloud. Delete it from Settings › Apple ID › iCloud, or by deleting the app. To delete a feedback message, write to jcguzmanr@gmail.com.
